In many countries, regardless of local traditions, people bake beautiful holiday cookies of different shapes and colors before the New Year and Christmas. Most often it gets some form of holiday characters – Santa Claus, Christmas trees, snowflakes, stars, hearts, bells. There exists wide variety of ingredients for pastry. But the favorite activity of all children, girls and hostesses is to decorate the cookies and chocolate frosting, to paint it!
